The Northwest Pastel Society (NPS) is dedicated to promoting pastel as a fine art medium. The nonprofit, established in 1988 offers numerous opportunities to its members, such as; open juried international exhibitions, juried members' exhibitions, workshops, knowledge sharing opportunities and access to a quarterly newsletters.

The Pastel Society of New Mexico (PSNM) is a nonprofit arts organization formed in 1989 by a small group of artists seeking to promote the appreciation of the soft pastel medium as well as to contribute to the growing arts community in New Mexico. Although PSNM is based in New Mexico, our membership now includes artists from more than half the states in the nation. PSNM is a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS)

The Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) is a professional association of artists dedicated to the business of preserving and promoting painting "en plein air" - in the open air or outdoors.
